WHAT IS SPORT PSYCHOLOGY?

In the context of sport, psychology is the understanding and appreciation of the link between mind and body and the work that happens at the intersection of the two.

Sport psychologists work with people to help them craft a constructive partnership between mind and body by increasing self awareness, enhancing coping skills and learning effective tools and techniques designed to grow both performance and person.

The aim of my work is to help athletes, coaches and their support teams to understand how the mind works and then harness its enormous power to ensure meaningful and lasting change. As with physical training, the journey takes commitment and time but the insights you will learn with a sport psychologist will be invaluable to both your sporting life as well as your wider world.
